AI-powered solutions can introduce bias into outcomes, skewing results and potentially leading to a cascade of negative effects at massive scale. A well-known example: An AI recruiting tool whittles down the number of candidates to consider for an open position, yet its algorithms unintentionally propagate bias into the process, eliminating highly desirable candidates.
