Why a Decision Platform?
A decision platform is an end-to-end solution for the enterprise decision management lifecycle, including business rule management, analytics, process management and machine learning/artificial intelligence.
Business Rules Management System (BRMS)
A business rules management system (BRMS) is a subset of technology within a decision platform. It allows for authoring, testing, storage and execution of business decisions, without code. Managing decision logic outside of code enables it to be maintained without programming, often by less technical users.
For example, the logic that determines whether you qualify for a loan (and at what interest rate) can be defined outside of code so that as marketplace conditions change, the rules associated with lending—rules associated with minimum income, credit score or debt to loan ratio—can be updated without changing code.
What Does InRule Do?
At InRule Technology®, our vision has always been to make it easier and more cost-effective to write and manage decisions in InRule® than to manage decisions in code. We strive to make automation accessible.
InRule empowers technical and business users to change decision logic and calculations in applications—with less effort, cost, and risk than programming—to help organizations keep pace with changing marketplace and customer needs.

Getting started with InRule
What’s the Best Way for Me to Determine Whether InRule is Right for My Organization?
Prospective customers find that downloading a free trial of InRule and participating in a demo with one of our pre-sales engineers are the most useful tools for determining whether InRule is right for them.
When you download our software, you have access to a fully functional version of the software for 30 days, along with the assistance of a pre-sales engineer. You also have access to documentation, product “how-to” videos, sample code and best practices documents.
Most of our clients have also benefited from a live demonstration, usually delivered via web. This is a chance for you to see our technology in action and to ask your key technical and business questions.
