WASHINGTON, D.C. – InRule Technology® Co-Founder and CTO Loren Goodman will join representatives from nearly 50 other app makers and connected device companies at ACT | The App Association’s annual App Economy Conference (AppCon) in Washington, D.C., April 28 – May 1, 2019.
In Washington, Goodman will have the opportunity to engage policymakers on some of the most pressing issues facing InRule today. Those issues include broadband infrastructure, privacy, computer science education, and topics surrounding connected health technologies.
“Automation is the new plastic,” said Goodman. “While we don’t know exactly where it will go, the ability to create and control it will be at the core of its evolution and every child in the country needs to have those skills.”
Goodman continued, “After 10 years of trips to Capitol Hill, I have seen how a single person with a passionate message can move the needle on policy. I would encourage everyone to meet with their representatives and express their views.”
For the past 10 plus years, the App Association has brought small and medium-sized tech companies to Washington to engage with policymakers and regulators on the issues that affect them.
“Throughout the year, the staff at the App Association works tirelessly, advocating on behalf of our members on Capitol Hill, at various regulatory bodies, and before courts,” said Alexandra Cooke, director of membership at the App Association. “AppCon is an opportunity for our members to meet with Members of Congress and their staff to tell their stories and advocate for policies that will positively impact their businesses. Last year we made a big difference, with more attendees and meetings than ever before. Congress heard their voices on the key issues for our industry, and their expertise will be even more valuable this year as we prepare to educate a new Congress.”
