InRule Technology® Improves Collaboration and Consensus for Automated Decisions with Support for Decision Model and Notation (DMN)

Oct 12, 2021

CHICAGO – InRule Technology®, provider of the leading decision platform for automating mission-critical business decisions, today announced support for Decision Model and NotationTM, a widely adopted standard put forth by the Object Management Group® (OMG®), an international, open membership, not-for-profit technology standards consortium.

DMN Modeler for irAuthor® is a decision discovery tool that enables users to create, edit, import and export decision requirement diagrams. The tool serves as a canvas that allows users to add and change decision requirements in a visual representation that can be easily understood by users with a range of technical proficiencies.

“As the pace of business increases and technology ROI comes under greater scrutiny, it’s essential to have buy-in from all stakeholders involved in digital transformation and decision automation projects,” said Chris Berg, Director – Digital Acceleration, InRule Technology. “By delivering access to this well-established standard, DMN Modeler for irAuthor fosters consensus among teams, accelerates change cycles to improve time to go-live, and ultimately helps organizations realize even greater value from their InRule investment.”

On Tuesday, October 19, InRule Technology will host a webinar detailing real world use cases for DMN and how the standard can be used to create a foundation for decision automation and digital transformation project success. The session, entitled DMN + InRule: The Picture-Perfect Way to Develop Automated Decisions, will also provide a high-level walk-through of DMN basics and how the standard can be used to build consensus around the scope and desired outcomes of automated decisions.
