InRule Technology and Aspect Software Awarded State of Montana Direct Certification Project

Dec 11, 2012

InRule Technology, the premier Business Rule Technology for the Microsoft Platform, announced today that InRule® for Microsoft Dynamics® CRM was chosen as part of Aspect Software’s bid for the State of Montana Office of Public Instruction Direct Certification project.

The State of Montana Office of Public Instruction is licensing InRule for its Direct Certification Process, which involves working with the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) to determine eligibility for children into the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) based on household participation in other assistance programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF.) The solution will both reduce the time and costs associated and improve the quality of eligibility decisions.

“InRule for Microsoft Dynamics CRM is included in Aspect’s Direct Certification solution not only because it enables subject matter experts to update complex and frequently changing rules, but also because it provides a level of accuracy, transparency and auditability that states require,” said John Luddy, General Manager, Education Services for Aspect Software. “Its tight integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is unique on the market; it enabled Aspect to reduce the estimated coding time, which contributed to our ability to deliver a cost-effective bid to the state. We look forward to deploying InRule in future Education projects.”

“Aspect Software’s expertise with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, along with their focus on Education, makes them an ideal addition to the InRule Technology partner ecosystem,” said Theresa O’Neil, Senior Vice President Business Development, InRule Technology. “The Direct Certification project demonstrates that Policy to Practice has application not only in Health and Human Services, but also in Education.”

Policy to Practice™ is the methodology and Business Rule Management technology that aligns Public Sector programs to governing laws and regulations. Policy to Practice improves decision quality, lowers cost and risk, provides transparency and auditability, and enables rule reusability across systems.
