InRule for Azure
Unlimited Scaleout for Adaptable Decision-Making Applications
InRule for Azure brings the capabilities of InRule to Microsoft Azure. By
allowing the execution of rules to occur in process on Azure, InRule for Azure
will provide a cost effective way for customers to scale out their InRule-powered
applications. InRule for Azure will also provide an easy way to test
the performance of applications in a cost-effective, scaled-out environment.
InRule for Azure will respond not only to changes in server requirements,
but also to changes in business requirements because it puts subject matter experts
in charge of decision logic. Changes in decision logic can be deployed without custom
coding.
Reducing TCO with Flexible Provisioning
Today, in many organizations, large server resources sit idle the majority of the
time. With Azure, extra instances can be commissioned during peak periods and, just
as important, decommissioned during non-peak hours. Because it takes advantage of
Azure’s flexible provisioning, InRule for Azure will also reduce the Total
Cost of Ownership (TCO) of rule-powered applications.
To Migrate the Execution of InRule in an Application, Simply Change the URI
To migrate the execution of InRule in an application, simply change the URI of the
Rule Server from the local server to Azure. And now the decision-making application
is running in a highly scalable, no hardware maintenance environment.
